Newcastle Firm Tops Nationals
NOM Office Solutions in Newcastle West has been named as the leading national supplier of Therapod products for the 4th successive year.

The award was announced at a cocktail party in Therapod’s new factory and showroom in Coburg, North Melbourne.
NOM’s sales of Therapod products increased more than 30% in the 2008-2009 fiscal year.
NOM Managing Director John Reid said much of the increase was accounted for by major supply contracts both in the Hunter and Sydney, including a significant contract with a major international merchant bank.
“We started selling the original Therapod back insert when it was developed by a Melbourne physiotherapist in the late 1980’s and have been retailing Therapod Seating Solutions products since the company formed in 2001,” Mr Reid said.
He put the firm’s Therapod sales success down to the relationships that NOM has built with rehabilitation providers and occupational therapists and to the growing realization by employers that they have to provide a safe, comfortable work environment for all persons, not just those that have work-related or other injuries.
The Therapod posture support system extends to a wide range of commercial and life-style products including wheelchair backs, writing slopes & footrests, manual and electric recliners and four-leg domestic chairs.
Established in 1959 as Newcastle Office Machines, NOM Office Solutions today is one of the Hunter’s largest suppliers of office furniture, workstations, filing and storage solutions, training equipment, rehabilitation aids, reprographics supplies and planning, plotting and scanning equipment.
