Originally established in 1959 by Basil Jones as Newcastle Office Machines selling typewriters & wax dictaphones, NOM quickly became a leader in the Drafting & Reprographics Industry.
As times changed we moved into office furniture, while developing a state of the art, dedicated plan printing, plotting and scanning bureau service.
Today's entity, NOM Office Solutions, is far more than just a retailer.
Because we represent a vast range of manufacturers - more than 94% of them Australian entities - we do not have a vested interest in pushing any one line or product, rather we are able to tailor solutions to the client's needs and budget.
This approach has brought us interstate recognition and contracts and has led to the development of new niche markets including Rehabilitation furniture and aids and complete Control Room solutions.
NOM can even provide office layout designs or advice on colour schemes and ergonomics for anything from a home office to a multi-level corporate headquarters.
